The Apostolic Nuncio to Thailand visited Ban Mai Nai Soi Temporary Shelter

   The Apostolic Nuncio to Thailand, Archbishop Peter Bryan Wells, conducted a Pastoral Visit to Ban Mai Nai Soi Temporary Shelter in Mae Hong Son province on May 21, 2024. During his visit organized by COERR and JRS, the Nuncio met with the Governor of Mae Hong Son, Thai Government Officers, the displaced persons residing in Ban Mai Nai Soi and Catholic communities in the area.

   The Apostolic Nuncio celebrated Holy Mass with the residents of Ban Mai Nai Soi Temporary Shelter and administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 274 young people. Another highlight of his Pastoral Visit was the Inter-faith Prayers for Peace, at which the Nuncio, Buddhist Monk, Baptist Minister and Animist Leader jointly offered their prayers for peace. He also visited persons with special needs in their homes and in the clinic and provided encouragement to those assisting them. Throughout his Pastoral Visit, the Apostolic Nuncio brought the blessings from His Holiness Pope Francis and his loving care for all people in Mae Hong Son province, encouraging everyone to join him in praying for Peace in the region.
